Time to get slow

A creative chapter closes. But the creativity continues.

Faster Ideas launched in 2019 with the aim of bringing creativity and creative thinking to as many people as possible. The world has changed so much in that time. And so have we at Faster Ideas.
When we started this blog, it was a space to explore ideas, share creative tools and inspire others to use more creativity in their work and life.
But over the past few years, my own creative path has shifted.
On a personal level, I've headed more deeply into my art practice, moved to another part of the country, leaned in to working with people one-to-one, and in groups, to explore their creativity through coaching, mentoring and making. Helping creativity thrive in a slower, but more meaningful way.
At the same time, the online world has got faster. With the rise of AI-generated content and a constant stream of information, I’ve found myself drawn away from adding more to the digital noise. What feels more powerful now is real, personal connection, working directly with people, guiding them through their creative process in a way that’s honest and authentic.
That’s why I’ve not added content to the site for a while, and there won't be any new content after this post. The blogs, videos and interviews will remain live here and on YouTube/podcast platforms for the foreseeable future for anyone to enjoy.
Ads may also appear, as we’re switching to free hosting. We don’t control these ads, so sorry if you see something you don't like.
Thank you for all your support. Thank you to everyone who agreed to come and be interviewed for Creatives on Speed, everyone who read a blog, everyone listened to a podcast, or forwarded or shared a post on social media.
But this is not the end.
I’d love you to join me as my creative mission continues.
If you like what you saw on fasterideas.com, I think you're going to enjoy what I offer on my art website and newsletter at jroattsart.com.
Not just original colourful abstract art and related products, but I'll soon be launching creativity coaching, workshops and new methods to reconnect with your own imagination. So let’s keep connecting and creating – just in a new place.
And never forget, everyone is creative.
